We’re Shawn and Mary Jo, the husband and wife team behind Big Timber Woodworking. After decades in demanding careers, Shawn in the medical field for 30 years and Mary Jo in retail for 40, we found ourselves longing for something more. For years, our time was spent apart, each of us dedicated to our work. But what was missing was time spent together which mattered the most. After 30 years of marriage and still deeply in love, we knew it was time to reshape our lives and create something meaningful together.

Our love for the outdoors and the beauty of God’s creation has always been a part of who we are. There’s something sacred about the way trees grow; strong, steady, shaped by the years. Woodworking allows us to honor that natural beauty, preserving what was once living and turning it into something lasting. Every grain, knot, and texture tells a story, just as our own lives do. We pour our hearts into every piece we make, ensuring that it isn’t just furniture, it’s a part of your home, your memories, and your legacy.

Big Timber Woodworking is more than a business to us. It’s a reflection of our faith, our love for craftsmanship, and our belief that the things we build should stand the test of time.
